A dialogue between a Doctor and a Patient
Patient: Hello doctor! Can I talk to you for a few minutes?
Doctor: Of course! Come in and have a seat. Now, what is the matter with you?
Patient: That’s what I want you to figure out for me.
Doctor: Alright, can you explain how you’re feeling?
Patient: I feel generally unwell. I don’t feel like eating, and I often have indigestion.
Doctor: Do you get frequent headaches?
Patient: Yes, I do. And what is worse, I can’t sleep at night.
Doctor: I understand. What kind of work do you do?
Patient: I work as an office clerk and have long working hours.
Doctor: Do you do any exercise in the evening?
A Doctor and a Patient Conversation in English
Patient: Unfortunately, I don’t. I feel so tired when I get home that I just want to sit or go to bed.
Doctor: I see. Well, it seems like you’re physically exhausted and in need of rest and change. Your symptoms suggest that you’re mentally drained. I’ll prescribe a tonic to help with your nerves, but the most important thing is to rest. If you follow my advice, you’ll feel better soon.
Patient: Thank you, doctor. I’ll do as you say. Good night!
Doctor: Good night! Keep me updated on your progress.
