Priya: Oh, it feels so cold this morning.

Neha: It sure is. Early this morning, my car’s windshield was covered with frost. I had to pour some water over it before heading to college.

Neha: I know. The temperature was 2 degrees Celsius when I woke up this morning. I was shivering as soon as I got out of bed. The cold weather just took me by surprise.

Neha: The news said it would start to drizzle around noon, and then it would pour heavily by three o’clock.
नेहा: समाचार में बताया गया कि दोपहर के आसपास हल्की बूँदाबाँदी शुरू होगी, और फिर तीन बजे तक भारी बारिश होगी।

Priya: No hope for better weather this week?
प्रिया: इस हफ्ते बेहतर मौसम की कोई उम्मीद नहीं है?

Neha: There’s a slim chance of sunshine by Saturday. However, it will be foggy, windy, and rainy before the sun comes out this weekend.

Priya: I’m glad it’s raining, even though I don’t like rainy weather. We have had a very dry season so far this year.

Neha: We are very lucky that Delhi has one of the most diverse weather conditions in India. When it is hot, it is not always humid; when it rains, there is usually no thunder or lightning, and the cold weather during the winter season is quite mild compared to the weather of other northern states.
नेहा: हम बहुत किस्मत वाले हैं कि दिल्ली का मौसम भारत में सबसे विविध है। जब गर्मी होती है, तो हमेशा उमस नहीं होती; जब बारिश होती है, तो आमतौर पर बिजली या गरज नहीं होती, और सर्दियों में ठंड का मौसम अन्य उत्तरी राज्यों की तुलना में काफी हल्का होता है।

Priya: Yes, we are lucky. However, sometimes when I look at the pictures from hill stations, I just wish we had some snow. It looks so pretty when everything is covered by a blanket of pure white snow.
