How many types of Grammar are there?

Grammar is divided into major 5 sections on the basis of words, phrases, clauses, sentences and characters. Which describes it in different parts. Knowing English, it is considered the most important distinction because it is the most essential part of English Grammar. which is like this.

3. Syntax

4. Punctuation

5. Prosody (hobby thinking)

1. Orthography

This is the part of grammar under which different types of English alphabets are studied . In this distinction, the vowel and consonant class is specially studied, which expresses the form of letters, the way of writing etc. meaning,

It is a branch of grammar which teaches us about different types of letters. Example:-

Vowel [वाउअल]  – A, E, I, O, and U and Hindi vowels; अ, आ, इ, ….अ: आदि

Consonant [कान्सनन्ट] – B, C, D, F, …… Z and Hindi consonants; क, ख, ग, घ, …. ज्ञ आदि

2. Etymology

Word thought is that part of grammar under which different types of words are studied. Through this words can be divided into many parts. Which elaborates its different forms. That is, the detailed form of word thought is called Parts of Speech.

In English Grammar, the detailed form of word idea i.e. Parts of Speech is divided into 8 main categories . Which are arranged according to the texture and use.

  1. Noun
  2. Pronoun
  3. Verb
  4. Adjective
  5. Adverb
  6. Preposition
  7. Conjunction
  8. Interjection (Exclamation)

3. Syntax

Sentence thought is that form of English Grammar under which different types of sentences i.e. Sentences are studied . According to this distinction, each sentence is expressed in four major forms, which are part of the complete sentence thought. like,

  1. Affirmative Sentence
  2. Negative Sentence
  3. Interrogative Sentence
  4. Negative Interrogative Sentence

In the study of modern grammar, sentence idea is also known as Subject Verb Agreement. Which teaches the use of Verb according to the Number and Person of the Subject of a sentence . meaning,

If Subject is Singular, then Verb will also be used Singular.
If Subject is Plural, then Verb Plural will be used.

4. Punctuation

Punctuation is that important part of English grammar, under which punctuation marks are studied to make English sentences complete or meaningful, is called Punctuation.

It is a branch of grammar which makes us learn about different types of sings and symbols.

That is, to make the sentences simple, precise and emotional, symbol thought is used . Given below are some examples of symbol ideas, seeing which your doubt will be cleared.

  • Full Stop  – (.)
  • Interrogation (question mark) – (?)
  • Comma  – (,)
  • Colon – (:)
  • Semi Colon – (;)
  • Exclamation Mark  – (!)
  • Colon Dash – (:-)
  • Brackets – () [] {}

5. Prosody (hobby thinking)

Prosody is the study of all the elements of language that contribute toward acoustic and rhythmic effects, chiefly in poetry but also in prose.

Its study is most important in Grammar because its writing is in special category. Which is definitely a bit difficult to understand, but after study it becomes very simple and meaningful.

In other words,

It is a branch of grammar which makes us learn about different types of poetry. It is also called the science of poetry. Ex;

Rhyme = Rhyme, Ode = Mourning Song, Ballad = Love Song, Dirge / Elegy = Mourning Song, etc.
