Once upon a time, there were two mice who were cousins. One lived in a beautiful town, while the other lived in a quiet countryside. The town mouse, named Tina, was accustomed to a life of luxury. She had access to plentiful food and lived in a cozy little house. On the other hand, the country mouse, named Lily, lived a simple life. She had to search for food in the fields and lived in a small burrow.

One day, Lily decided to pay Tina a visit. She wanted to experience the town life that her cousin often boasted about. When Lily arrived at Tina’s house, she was amazed at the abundance of food and the luxurious lifestyle. Tina served delicious cheese, grains, and other delicacies. They ate to their heart’s content and talked about their lives.

Just as they were enjoying their meal, they heard a loud noise. It was the sound of the cat that lived in Tina’s house. Startled, Lily quickly scurried behind a cupboard. Tina, being used to such noises, seemed unaffected. Once the cat left, Lily cautiously emerged from her hiding spot.

Lily said, “Tina, I appreciate your hospitality and the abundance of food, but I must admit, I miss the peace and simplicity of my countryside. Living in constant fear of the cat is not something I am used to.”

Tina smiled and replied, “Lily, I understand what you mean. Although I have plenty to eat and a comfortable home, I always have to be on guard. The city life may seem glamorous, but it comes with its own set of challenges.”

Lily nodded in agreement and said, “You are right, Tina. I may not have fancy food or a luxurious house, but I have the freedom to roam around without fear. I appreciate the simplicity and tranquility of my country life.”

Realizing that they each longed for what the other had, they decided to visit Lily’s countryside. They embarked on a journey to Lily’s humble abode. When they reached there, they enjoyed the fresh air, the green fields, and the freedom to explore without any worries.

As they sat under a tree, nibbling on some grains, Tina said, “Lily, you were right. The countryside has its own charm. I feel relaxed and content here, away from the constant hustle and bustle of the town.”

Lily smiled and replied, “Indeed, Tina. We have learned that there is value in both lifestyles. It is important to appreciate and be grateful for what we have, rather than constantly yearning for something else.”

From that day onwards, Tina and Lily cherished their own lives while also appreciating the beauty of each other’s worlds. They learned that true happiness lies in finding contentment with what you have, whether it’s in a town or in the peaceful countryside.

लिली सहमी हुई होकर मुड़ी और कही, “हाँ, टीना, तुम बिल्कुल सही कह रही हो। ग्रामीण क्षेत्र की अपनी खूबसूरती को मैं महसूस कर रही हूँ। मैं शांति और सरलता को महसूस कर रही हूँ, जो शहर के हमेशा की गड़बड़ी के बिना होती है।”

इस बातचीत के बाद, वे निर्णय लिया कि वे लिली के ग्रामीण क्षेत्र का दौरा करेंगी। वे लिली के सरल आवास की ओर चले। वहां पहुंचते ही, वे ताजगी वायु, हरे खेत और चिंताओं के बिना अन्वेषण करने का स्वाद लेने लगे।
