A Lion and a mouse

Once upon a time there lived a lion in a forest. A friend in need is a friend indeed. One day after a heavy meal. It was sleeping under a tree. After a while, there came a mouse and it started to play on the lion. Suddenly the lion got up with anger and looked for those who disturbed its nice sleep. Then it saw a small mouse standing trembling with fear. The lion jumped on it and started to kill it. The mouse requested the lion to forgive it. The lion felt pity and left it. The mouse ran away.

On another day, the lion was caught in a net by a hunter. The mouse came there and cut the net. Thus it escaped. There after, the mouse and the lion became friends. They lived happily in the forest afterwards.

एक बार की बात है एक जंगल में एक शेर रहता था। एक दिन भारी भोजन के बाद। वह एक पेड़ के नीचे सो रहा था। कुछ देर बाद एक चूहा आया और वह शेर पर खेलने लगा। अचानक शेर गुस्से से उठा और उसकी अच्छी नींद में खलल डालने वालों को ढूँढ़ने लगा। तभी उसने देखा कि एक छोटा चूहा डर से कांपता हुआ खड़ा है। शेर उस पर कूद पड़ा और उसे मारने लगा। चूहे ने शेर से इसे माफ करने का अनुरोध किया। शेर को दया आई और वह चला गया। चूहा भाग गया।

दूसरे दिन एक शिकारी ने शेर को जाल में फँसा लिया। चूहे ने वहां आकर जाल काट दिया। ऐसे में फरार हो गया। इसके बाद चूहे और शेर की दोस्ती हो गई। वे बाद में जंगल में खुशी-खुशी रहने लगे।
